Crowds walked through the streets of Soweto on 21 June 2025 in the first-ever Soweto Solidarity Walk for Palestine, a 2.2km journey from Regina Mundi Church to Dlamini Mosque.
This historic walk draws powerful parallels between the struggles of Soweto 1976 and Gaza 2025. Many came wearing keffiyehs and carrying Palestinian flags, walking in solidarity with the people of Palestine and standing side by side as Sowetans committed to justice and freedom.
