The Palestine Solidarity Alliance (PSA) notes with vigilance the announcement of the limited opening of corridors for food and humanitarian aid to enter Gaza. While needed and welcomed in the face of the Israeli created starvation and use of famine as a weapon of war, this is not enough.
Gaza is in an emergency of starvation and needs daily truckloads of food, medicine and humanitarian aid to flow in immediately and unconditionally. We remain outraged at the escalating and dire situation unfolding live in Gaza and will not stop until Palestine is free.

Die Vryheidsvloot Koalisie bevestig dat hul burgerlike skip Handala, op pad om Israel se onwettige, volksmoord-blokkade vir Palestyne in Gaza te breek, gewelddadig onderskep is deur die Israelse weermag in internasionale waters ongeveer veertig seemyl van Gaza af. Om 11:43 Palestynse tyd het die Besetting die kameras aan boord van Handala afgesny, en alle kommunikasie met ons skip is verbreek. Die ongewapende boot het lewensreddende voorrade vervoer toe dit deur Israelse magte aan boord geneem is, sy passasiers ontvoer is en sy vrag in beslag geneem is.

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition confirms that its civilian vessel Handala, en route to break Isarel’s illegal, genocidal blockade on Palestinians in Gaza, has been violently intercepted by the Israeli military in international waters about forty nautical miles from Gaza. At 11:43 Palestine time the Occupation cut the cameras on board Handalaand we have lost all communication with our ship. The unarmed boat was carrying life-saving supplies when it was boarded by Israeli forces, its passengers abducted, and its cargo seized. The interception occurred in international waters outside Palestinian territorial waters off Gaza, in violation of international maritime law.

The Palestine Solidarity Alliance (PSA) welcomes the resolute actions and unified stance taken during The Hague Group’s Emergency Conference on Palestine in Bogotá, Colombia this week. All thirty participating states unanimously asserted that the era of impunity must end, demanding that international law be enforced without fear or favour through domestic policies and legislation, coupled with a united call for an immediate ceasefire.
